 Ang 515 • Guru Amar Daas Ji • Raag Gujri

English Translation:

Shalok, Third Mehl: Waaho! Waaho! Those humble beings ever praise the Lord, unto whom the Lord Himself grants understanding. Chanting Waaho! Waaho!, the mind is purified, and egotism departs from within. The Gurmukh who continually chants Waaho! Waaho! attains the fruits of his heart’s desires. Beauteous are those humble beings who chant Waaho! Waaho! O Lord, let me join them! Within my heart, I chant Waaho! Waaho!, and with my mouth, Waaho! Waaho! O Nanak, those who chant Waaho! Waaho! – unto them I dedicate my body and mind. ||1|| Third Mehl: Waaho! Waaho! is the True Lord Master; His Name is Ambrosial Nectar. Those who serve the Lord are blessed with the fruit; I am a sacrifice to them. Waaho! Waaho! is the treasure of virtue; he alone tastes it, who is so blessed. Waaho! Waaho! The Lord is pervading and permeating the oceans and the land; the Gurmukh attains Him. Waaho! Waaho! Let all the Gursikhs continually praise Him. Waaho! Waaho! The Perfect Guru is pleased with His Praises. O Nanak, one who chants Waaho! Waaho! with his heart and mind – the Messenger of Death does not approach him. ||2|| Pauree: The Dear Lord is the Truest of the True; True is the Word of the Guru’s Bani. Through the True Guru, the Truth is realized, and one is easily absorbed in the True Lord. Night and day, they remain awake, and do not sleep; in wakefulness, the night of their lives passes. Those who taste the sublime essence of the Lord, through the Guru’s Teachings, are the most worthy persons. Without the Guru, no one has obtained the Lord; the ignorant rot away and die. ||17||

Shlok, Mejl Guru Amar Das, Tercer Canal Divino. Wajo, Wajo, sólo aquéllos a quienes el Señor Mismo les revela Su Gloria, Lo alaban. Cantando Wajo, Wajo, la mente es purificada y se elimina de ella el egoísmo. Los Gurmukjs que continuamente cantan Wajo, Wajo, cosechan el fruto de los deseos de su corazón. Bellos son aquéllos que cantan Wajo, Wajo, oh Señor; déjame acercarme a ellos. Con mi corazón canto Wajo, Wajo, y con mi boca, Wajo, Wajo. Dice Nanak, quienes cantan Wajo, Wajo, a ellos dedico mi cuerpo y mi mente. (1) Mejl Guru Amar Das, Tercer Canal Divino. Wajo, Wajo, es el Verdadero Señor y Maestro, Su Nombre es dulce como el Néctar. Aquéllos que sirven a su Maestro son bendecidos; yo ofrezco mi ser en sacrifico a ellos. Wajo, Wajo, es el Tesoro de Virtud; sólo lo saborea quien tiene esa Bendición. Wajo, Wajo, el Señor Compenetra y prevalece en los mares y en la tierra, y así el Gurmukj lo obtiene. Wajo, Wajo, deja que todos los Gursikjs lo alaben continuamente, Wajo, Wajo, el Guru Perfecto, estará complacido con su canto. Oh, dice Nanak, a quien canta Wajo, Wajo, con su corazón y su mente, los emisarios de la muerte no se le acercan. (2) Pauri Solamente el Señor es Verdadero; Verdad es la Palabra del Guru. A través del Verdadero Guru, la Verdad de Dios es revelada y a través de la Verdad, uno llega al Estado de Equilibrio. Ellos siempre se mantienen despiertos con la Conciencia Elevada, y despiertos pasan la noche de su vida. A través de la Instrucción del Guru, prueban la Esencia del Señor; ellos son los bendecidos. Sin el Guru ninguno Lo ha obtenido, y la vida de los ignorantes se desperdicia en vano. (17)
